About Me

I am a freelance fiction editor, proofreader and published playwright. I have experience editing a wide range of texts, focusing on adult historical fiction, fantasy, play scripts, middle grade and YA.

My background is in education. However, after many years teaching, I left the profession to focus on fiction editing and writing. 

I am a professional member of the CIEP and I have gained qualifications in editing and proofreading through the institute. I use the comments tools in PDF and track changes in Word when proofreading and editing. 

I love writing my own plays and children's books. My enthusiasm for amateur theatre has given me opportunities to perform, direct and write for local groups, which I love.
